Systems Development

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Stafford VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The Systems Engineer will perform technical planning, proof of concept, system integration, verification and validation, risk, supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems.

This position requires an active DOD TS/SCI security clearance.

Candidate must be 8570 IAT Level II compliant and have at least a COMPTIA Security+ certification.


Should have a minimum of seven (7) years (with a Bachelor&s Degree) relevant software/systems experience. This experience should show increasing responsibility in development or maintenance of software and/or information networks.

Knowledge of DoD 5000, virtualization and cloud technologies, CMMI, and ISO 9000.

Also have at least two (2) years& experience with at least three (3) of the following:

• Requirements definition

• Modular testing

• Formulating design methodology

• Documentation origination

• Systems integration and testing to verify required performance

• Assessment of change proposals for technical merit

• Database design and development (i.e. Postgres, SQL, Mongo DB)

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • System integration for systems using Windows 10, Windows server 2012 R2/2016 and Linux type operating systems. Other technologies to include Hyper-V, ArcGIS, Geospatial applications, and directory services, i.e. Active Directory or LDAP.
  • Identifying system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal.
  • Ensuring designs are compatible with the architecture and allocates requirements to segments.
  • Working with customer regarding systems engineering technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Application of system life cycle, agile development, and software technologies currently used in DOD/IC enterprise.
  • Creating scripts using PowerShell.
  • Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
  • Performing system definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, integration of system.
  • Testing, maintaining, and monitoring computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
  • Preparing required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Assisting in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
  • Some travel possible.

Job Requirements

Requires Bachelors degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
