ManTech is currently seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Bremerton, WA.

General Responsibilities:

  • Account Management tools
  • Backup/Restore
  • Hardware Inventory Management
  • Patching/vulnerability Management
  • Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS)
  • Duties and responsibilities of the Cyber Security Workforce for DOD

Mandatory Skills Requirements:

  • 4+ years& experience as a database administrator
  • 4+ years of experience with implementing or monitoring information security and compliance with DOD system settings and processes
  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle server and client from 11g to 12c
  • Allocate system storage and plan future storage requirements for the database system
  • Perform database backups, validate backups and periodically restore database to test backup and restoration
  • Create table spaces, increase table space size, create database objects and maintain creation scripts
  • Monitor database performance and perform Oracle database performance tuning
  • Modify database structure if needed
  • Create Oracle users and enforce system security
  • Audit user access to the database
  • Perform disaster recovery by applying your knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
  • Has developed and/or maintained system documentation and standards
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the syntax, capabilities, and limitations of the Oracle database systems including knowledge of the interaction between production programs and the operating system
  • Experience in monitoring system resource utilization to detect and solve problems that are about to occur
  • The candidate&s analytical approaches and results are generally reviewed for technical and professional adequacy
  • Review of complex IT related data from multiple sources and determining relevant information
  • Ability to draft, edit, and disseminate written reports and status updates
  • Ability to maintain relationships with customers with diverse needs
  • Provide technical or complex information about products and services
  • Ability to assess customers' needs and identify or tailoring products and services to meet them
  • Ability to resolve complex or non-routine issues
  • Ability to explain moderately complex ideas or information clearly
  • Skilled in listening to others and recognizing potential miscommunications
  • Skilled in identifying and solving problems by gathering and applying information from a variety of materials or sources
  • Active DoD SECRET security clearance

Job Requirements

Other Skills Preferred:



  • Oracle Data Guard experience in setting up standby databases and Oracle Golden Gate experience

  • Oracle Database 12c Administrator certification

  • Security Plus certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
