Systems Development

ManTech is searching for a talented systems engineer to support new launch vehicle certification for the Launch Systems Directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA

General Responsibilities:

• Support the review and certification of new launch vehicle provider system design and processes.

• Evolve certification strategy consistent with national space strategy.

• Develop new New Entrant certification plans

• Assist the Air Force customer respond to higher headquarters level taskers, media inquiries, etc.

• Maintain situational awareness of all New Entrant certification activities to ensure a level playing field for all New Entrants

• Background in launch vehicles or space vehicles design, testing and certification requirements

Other Skills Preferred:

• Strong background in launch vehicle concepts is highly desired

• Experience with Air Force leadership in a Program Office environment

• Experience working with the Space and Missile Center (SMC)

• Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field

Job Requirements

Requires Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience.
