We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team in the Stafford, VA area to provide physical and virtual networking for highly virtualized development, test, evaluation, and productions environments.

This position requires an Active DoD Clearance.

General Responsibilities:

  • Set-up, configuration, and support of internal and external networks
  • Identifying and analyzing systems requirements
  • Developing and maintaining system applications and security
  • Developing and maintaining network configurations
  • Troubleshooting network performance issues
  • Providing user support and guidance
  • Setting up IP schemas for multi-tenant environments
  • Configuring physical and virtual switching, routing, and firewall protocols, ports, and services
  • Recommending and implementing upgrades, patches, new applications and new equipment
  • Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans
  • Ensuring proper documentation, coordination, and maintenance of multiple systems

Mandatory Skills Requirements:

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Working knowledge of network standards, protocols, security, and applications
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, servers, transmission media, and related hardware
  • Working knowledge of local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management
  • Hands-on experience with network systems design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts and methods

Job Requirements

Requires Bachelor's degree in (Computer Science, Math or Engineering) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
