Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Network Defense engineer in the Herndon, Virginia area, with strong Customer relationships. At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

The NIS Division provides mission solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Our contributions to our customer&s success is driving our growth.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Deploy and maintain FireEye Email (EX) and Network (NX) Security appliances
• Configure FireEye Central Management System (CMS)
• Identify, troubleshoot and mitigate vulnerability findings found by FireEye appliances
• Assist with implementation of other network defense requirements as assigned

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
• Bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years of experience is required
• Excellent problem solving skills a must
• 2-4 years of cyber security acumen is required
• Demonstrated understanding of threat intelligence required
• Solid network engineering experience is required
• Prior vendor engagement experience required
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
• Experience deploying and maintaining FireEye E-mail or Network security appliances is preferred
• Experience with configuration of FireEye Central Management System is preferred
• Prior understanding of FireEye Enterprise Security best practices is preferred





Job Requirements

Requires Bachelor¿s degree or equivalent and ten to twelve years of related experience. Minimum of four years experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.
