ManTech is responsible for assisting our Government customer ensure that material solutions developed or acquired by Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) are system engineered, integrated, interoperable, and certified to provide the warfighter with equipment required to accomplish their mission.

To do that, ManTech assists our customer to conduct the detailed systems engineering analysis, establishes technical policies and guidance across the Command, and manage the technical investigation and distributed planning required to deliver world class Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) systems capabilities to the warfighter.

General Responsibilities:

  • The individual will be responsible for reporting to the FSS Technical Support Officer (TSO), Sensors TSO, and AFSEB Branch Head on all FSS test, engineering, and programmatic issues or as assigned. This individual shall support Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO-LS), Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), and the Operating Forces with programs of record including, but not limited to, Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and Family of Target Acquisition Systems (FTAS) during test and engineering events.
  • This individual shall provide subject matter expertise (SME) in the areas of fire support mission test threads, digital interoperability of FSS, systems engineering, and other acquisition test and engineering disciplines. These responsibilities also include providing independent analysis of programmatic efforts and ensuring MCTSSA activities are integrated into overall program office systems engineering activities and milestones, fielding dates, and other acquisition life cycle requirements.
  • Specific tasking required under this Task instruction to support MCTSSA, MARCORSYSCOM, PEO-LS, and the Operating Forces may include the following:
  • Provide technical and operational SME support for test and evaluation planning activities, to include readiness reviews, development or update of test plans, test cases/scenarios, test procedures/scripts, data collection, and analysis plans.
  • Provide technical and operational SME support during the conduct/execution of test and engineering events. The individual shall observe events to verify adherence to the test plans, test procedures and individual test scripts, and ensure deviations are documented for contribution to the post-test report. Test observation notes obtained during testing shall be utilized during data analysis and development of the post-test reports. The individual shall document system anomalies on trouble reports to be submitted to the Government.
  • Provide post-test support upon completion of a test or engineering event. Post-test support includes data extraction, data reduction, and post-test data analysis. The individual shall analyze data extraction files, applicable existing Program/Change Reports (P/CRs), Trouble Reports (TRs), Preliminary Trouble Reports (PTR), System Trouble Reports (STRs), and develop trouble reports in order to validate observed performance characteristics.
  • Attend and participate in program development reviews, In-Progress Reviews (IPRs), Test Team Review Group (TTRG) meetings, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, Configuration Management (CM) meetings, and Technical Review Boards (TRBs).
  • Review, evaluate, and provide written comments on test and engineering related documentation to determine technical currency and operational relevance.

Mandatory Skills Requirements:

  • Should have experience supporting USMC or similar systems and shows increasing levels of responsibility
  • Knowledge in leading analysis efforts on highly complex problems or mission specific operational problems, directing technical teams on operational and/or developmental projects throughout system life cycle (development of requirements to final delivery).
