ManTech is currently seeking an Engineering Technician to support our USMC Communications programs in Charleston, SC.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team in a growing environment.

Engineering Technician will be responsible for providing technical support required to integrate, repair, maintain and assist in the development or replacement of USMC communication systems/equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with developing technical content, system
configuration/troubleshooting, and day-to-day technical support as required.

Required Skills:

Education: Technical Training in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Business.

Eight (8) years of hands-on experience with C4ISR projects, to
include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements,
Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who
has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in Engineering, Computer
Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Business.

Operational knowledge of USMC voice and data modes of communications, to include: UHF, VHF, HF, SATCOM, SINCGARS, ANW2

Experience with configuring, operating, and troubleshooting USMC voice and data radios and vehicular radio configurations, specifically:

AN/VRC-89, AN/VRC-92

Experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of current fielded USMC communications systems.

Working knowledge of tactical communications best practices for vehicle integration:

Cable management
Electrical safety
System Troubleshooting
Cable management
Electrical safety
System Troubleshooting

Familiarity with technical content required to produce the following technical documents and/or USMC publications:

Modification Instructions (MIs)
Technical Instructions (TIs)
Technical Manuals (TMs)
Component Parts List / SL-3
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Interface Control Document (ICD)

Capability to assemble/solder communications RF cabling, power, networking, and other multi conductor cabling

Capability to understand technical documentation and schematics for complex or multi-system architecture.

Understanding of safe operation of shop hand tools and power tools.

Experience with operation of RF test equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting RF power meter, Mu lti-meter and Analyzers/Oscilloscopes

Job Requirements

Requires Bachelor's degree (in related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
