Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

A qualified candidate shall have the following:

• Ability to lead support team consisting of technologists, modelers, and developers.
• Experience with AGI&s Satellite Toolkit.
• Proficient using engineering scripting languages (Java, Python, etc).
• Familiarity / Interest in Game Theory.
• Capability to learn and develop expertise in GOTS modeling and simulation tools.
• Ability to work with customer projects to define goals and specific study objectives and to develop, create, and model contingency scenarios using a data set that includes multiple dynamic variables using existing MODSIM tools, using federated combinations of existing tools, or developing new analysis tools.
• Ability to define bounds of needed analyses and study parameters in concert with devising and executing modeling and simulation tools test cases covering the needed exploration space.
• Ability to synthesize modeling and simulation results into analysis reports addressing critical resilience and survivability technology and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) study goals.
• Knowledge of strategic planning theory and processes as they relate to the deployment and utilization of US offensive and defensive national security systems to address emerging threats.
• Knowledge of the interaction and integration of forces, capabilities, and effects in cross-domain response operations.
• Ability to assess engagement scenarios at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels to determine the opportunities for the use of MODSIM as a decision support aid for senior decision makers.
• Ability to clearly articulate the benefits and opportunities for modeling-based decision support to government and industry executives.
• Knowledge of campaign planning relating the deployment of forces or materiel in any warfighting domain.

Additionally, a qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Support the investigation of novel technologies and methods applied to defensive space control and architectural resiliency.
• Evaluate opportunities for using modeling to support program decisions; organize, complete, and deliver modeling analysis in appropriate format to decision makers at all levels of government and industry.
• Conduct detailed research and analysis of current space doctrine, system conops, and other space planning documents to determine appropriate force mix based on environmental or contextual variables.
• Develop modelling to determine optimum quantity and placement of defense space protection capabilities based on external variable input.
• Establish and recommend adoption of contingency response courses of action (COAs) informed by multi-variable operational environment modelling.

Security Clearance Requirement:
Active/current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is required.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline (M.S. is preferred).
• Background with defensive or offensive space control methods and strategies.
• Government systems engineering experience and/or industry experience may compensate for advanced degrees.
• 2-5+ years of system engineering experience in IC or DOD satellite or space surveillance programs.
• 2-5+ years of experience in engineering development, integration, and/or manufacturing of satellite or space surveillance systems is strongly preferred.
• Effective interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate and manage planning activities with multiple contractors, and strong briefing and written communications skills.
• Occasional travel within CONUS.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office products.
