ManTech Mission Solutions & Services Group is seeking an experienced and energetic manager to support program management at the El Segundo, California Office. Successful candidate will operate as the Launch Systems Directorate (LR) Engineering and Integration (SE&I) contract Deputy Program Manager as well as lead the local El Segundo team as the LAAFB Site lead. Candidate is a key player, collaborator, and direct contributor to the SE&I contract performance and reports to the Los Angeles Program Director
• Support to Program Execution:
• Support the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of the SE&I contract in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Track contract performance, submit compliance reports, and conduct performance analysis with the goal of continuously improving performance.
• Lead the local Team with direct supervision of multiple Team Leads.
• Directly manages employees and teams/sub teams.
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training staff. Prepare and maintain current staffing plans for contract and local teams.
• Responsible for establishing annual performance objectives and individual growth and development plans for all direct reports.
• Support enterprise integration of contract activity across all contract locations (LAAFB, CCAFS, VAFB, etc.)
• Oekf with LR SE&I Program Manager/ LA Program Director and contract technical Leads to provide technical direction to complete tasks and provide deliverables.
• Interface with subcontract leads. Monitor contract, subcontracts, activity and funding in coordination with the subcontracts managers and program control analysts. Conduct Technical Evaluations of all proposals submitted by subcontractors as required.
• Ensures accuracy of contract deliverables/CDRLs.
• Responsible for the preparation and submittal of required reports, such as company bi-weekly activity, government monthly reporting activities, quarterly Program Management Review briefings, etc. Prepare documents for coordination with the government, such as PWS and QASP updates.
• Interface and collaborate regularly with Air Force leadership and government stakeholders to promote effective contract operations
• Participate and engage with the government in all related SE&I contract meetings as directed by the LA Program Director.
• Support to Sales:
• Collaboratively develop, maintain, and support execution of sales under the direction of LA Program Director to achieve objectives endorsed and aligned with divisional goals.
• Support SE&I contract organic growth and acquisition of follow-on business.
• Support new business development activities by supporting proposal development, BOE preparation and contract negotiations.
• Contribute to business solution development and strategic business processes at the divisional level.

Job Requirements


Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and twelve to fifteen years of related (technical environment) experience including 8 years minimum management experience.
• Advance degree and PMP certification preferred.
• Ability to conceptualize and effectively implement strategies for optimized program execution and capturing business.
• Experience with program management of successful technical, schedule, and cost performance.
• Must be capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment and prioritizing tasks to meet assigned suspense.
• Excellent organization, communication, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in the use of MS office products.
• Track record of successful organization of support to customer needs.
• At least 10 years of experience at USAF Space and Missile Systems Center in an engineering, contracting, program mangement or acquisition support role on Air Force Launch or Sateliite Systems
• Training in Air Force/DoD acquisition processes and the acquisition lifecycle
• Understanding of systems engineering processes
• Experience with leading/managing large teams in collaborative environment
• DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret clearance with an SCI.
